The NDA’s battalions and squadrons symbolize unity and discipline, fostering leadership and camaraderie. Established in 1954, they serve as foundational units for cadets’ military training and holistic development.

The most well-known test in India for admission to the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Military is the
NDA. Candidates may apply if they are between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5. Written exams and SSB interviews are
used to choose the candidates.
