Who can apply for CAPF (AC) 2027
Age limit
20 to 25 years as on 1 August 2027. Age relaxation applies as per government norms for reserved categories such as SC/ST, OBC and ex-servicemen.
Educational qualification
A bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Final-year students may apply subject to UPSC conditions.
Application fee
₹200 for General & OBC candidates. Female, SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted. Pay online by credit/debit card, net banking or e-challan.

What is the CAPF (AC) exam pattern?
CAPF (AC) exam has two papers: Paper I — General Ability & Intelligence (250 marks, 2.5 hrs, objective MCQ) covering English, GK, Numerical Ability, Reasoning; Paper II — General Studies, Essay & Comprehension (200 marks, 3 hrs, descriptive). Candidates who clear written are called for Physical Standard Tests and Medical, then SSB-style interview.
What is the CAPF (AC) eligibility?
Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. Age: 20–25 years (with relaxation for OBC/SC/ST). Must meet physical standards: minimum height 165 cm (men), 157 cm (women), chest 81 cm (men). The exam is conducted by UPSC and is notified annually. Both men and women can apply.
What is the CAPF (AC) selection process?
CAPF (AC) selection has 4 stages: (1) Written exam — Paper I (objective) + Paper II (descriptive), (2) Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), (3) Medical examination, and (4) Personality Test/Interview (175 marks). Final merit is based on written + interview marks.
