Passed Away on 2nd November 2004
With solemn respect and heartfelt remembrance, we honour the life and legacy of Late Lt. Col. Hardit Singh Dhaliwal — a visionary, a soldier, and a mentor whose journey continues to inspire thousands.
A proud graduate of Punjab University, he chose a path of service by joining the Indian Armed Forces, where he upheld the highest values of discipline, honour, and duty. After completing a distinguished career in uniform, he embarked upon a new mission — to guide young Indians towards careers in the Armed Forces. This vision led to the establishment of New Careers Academy in 1967.
His tireless dedication, clarity of purpose, and belief in structured mentorship helped shape countless careers. Today, the academy stands as a testament to his passion, producing second and third generation officers, embodying the excellence he envisioned.
Even after his passing on 2nd November 2004, his teachings live on — in every selection, every salute, and every life touched by his guidance. His values of integrity, courage, and consistency continue to define New Careers Academy’s legacy.
He did not just found an institution…

Late Lt Col H.S. Dhaliwal, a distinguished Defence Services officer, laid the foundation of NCA with the vision of transforming defence coaching in India. A true leader, mentor, and strategist, he believed in nurturing not just academic brilliance but also character, personality, and officer-like qualities (OLQs) in every student.
His discipline, foresight, and soldierly ethos created a learning environment that instilled ambition, grit, and confidence. Even today, his legacy continues to guide the faculty, staff, and students of NCA toward achieving stellar results year after year.
