NDA Coaching in Chandigarh at NCA

    1. What is the NDA exam and when is it held?

The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC in April and September. It selects candidates aged 16.5–19.5 years for the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings. The written exam covers Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (600 marks), followed by an SSB interview. NCA Academy has prepared NDA aspirants since 1967, one of India's most experienced NDA coaching institutes in Chandigarh.

    2. What is the eligibility for NDA 2025?

Candidates must be unmarried Indian citizens aged 16.5–19.5 years. The Army wing accepts 10+2 in any stream. Navy and Air Force wings require Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level. Both male and female candidates are eligible. NCA Academy helps aspirants verify eligibility, calculate age cutoffs for each UPSC notification, and complete the online application correctly.

    3. How long does NDA preparation take at NCA?

Most NDA aspirants need 6–12 months of focused preparation. NCA structures coaching into concept-building (3–4 months) and intensive test practice (2–3 months before the exam). The full UPSC NDA syllabus covering Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, English, Science, Current Affairs and History is delivered through daily classes, weekend mock tests, and doubt-clearing with retired defence officers.

CDS Coaching in Chandigarh at NCA

    1. What is the CDS exam pattern?

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam is held twice yearly by UPSC for IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA entry. For IMA/INA/AFA, three papers: English (100 marks), General Knowledge (100 marks), and Elementary Mathematics (100 marks), each 2 hours. OTA requires only English and GK. All papers are objective with 0.33 negative marking per wrong answer. NCA Academy covers the full CDS syllabus with weekly UPSC-standard mock tests.

    2. Who is eligible for CDS 2025?

Eligibility varies by academy: IMA requires graduation; INA requires an Engineering degree; AFA needs Physics and Mathematics at degree level; OTA accepts graduates in any discipline. Age limits range from 19–24 years (IMA) to 19–25 years (OTA). Both men and women may apply for OTA; IMA, INA, and AFA are for male candidates only. NCA counselors help identify the right entry for each candidate.

    3. Can I prepare for CDS and SSB together at NCA?

Yes. NCA's integrated CDS + SSB programme covers the UPSC written exam and SSB interview in a single course. Written CDS preparation runs Monday–Friday; Saturdays are dedicated to SSB mock sessions covering psychological tests (TAT, WAT, SRT, SDT), Group Tasks (GD, GPE, PGT), and Personal Interview practice, ensuring students are fully prepared on both fronts.
