14-Day Programme Structure

Days 1–2: SSB Orientation & Screening Stage

• Understanding the SSB process and officer-like qualities (OLQs)
• OIR Test: Intelligence test types, practice sets, time management
• PPDT: Picture observation, story writing framework
• PPDT: Narration techniques and group discussion strategy

Practice: OIR Sets + PPDT Stories

Days 3–5: Psychology Tests (TAT)

• TAT theory: Hero-centric story writing, OLQ integration
• TAT practice: 25-picture sets with timing
• Feedback and correction on story themes and structure
• TAT self-analysis and improvement workshop

Practice: Full TAT Battery (25 pictures)

Days 6–7: WAT, SRT & SDT

• WAT: Word Association Test — positive, OLQ-aligned responses
• SRT: Situation Reaction Test — balanced, leadership-oriented responses
• SDT: Self Description Test — self-awareness and expression
• Common mistakes and how assessors evaluate psychology

Practice: WAT (60 words), SRT (60 situations), SDT

Days 8–10: GTO — Group Tasks

• GTO overview: Assessor perspective and marking criteria
• Group Discussion (GD): Initiating, contributing, concluding
• Group Planning Exercise (GPE): Problem analysis and solution
• Progressive Group Task (PGT) strategy and leadership
• Half Group Task (HGT) and individual approach

Practice: GD rounds + GPE exercises

Days 11–12: GTO — Individual Tasks & Lecturette

• Individual Obstacles: Approach, safety rules, tips
• Command Task: Leadership and task delegation
• Final Group Task (FGT)
• Lecturette: Topic selection, 3-minute structured talk, delivery

Practice: Lecturette (multiple rounds)

Day 13: Personal Interview Preparation

• PIQ form filling: Detailed guidance on all fields
• Interview topics: Hometown, school, family, hobbies, achievements
• Current affairs and defence knowledge for interview
• Body language, confidence, and communication tips
• Mock interview practice (group round)

Practice: PIQ completion + interview Q&A

Day 14: 1-on-1 Mock Interview by Former IO

• Full mock interview by a Former Interviewing Officer
• Personalised feedback on performance
• Areas of improvement identified individually
• Final confidence session and exam strategy
