TGC refers to Technical Graduate Course of the Indian Army. The person who is selected for this post as a Lieutenant in armed forces. Every year, the Indian Army opens a limited number of seats for new joiners under the Indian Army Technical Graduate Course.

Eligibility criteria for TGC SSB
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit:20 – 27 years as on 1st July 2023 ( Born between 02 Jan 1997 and 01 Jan 2004) The date of birth mentioned in Matriculation/ Senior Secondary Examination Certificate or any other equivalent Examination Certificate at time of submission of documents will be taken as final. no other document relating to age or no further request will be entertained
Educational qualification:The candidates who have passed Engineering degree course or are in the final year of degree course are also eligible to apply but the final year candidates have to submit the proof passing engineering exam along with all semester mark sheets by 01st July 2024.

The successful candidates will be commissioned as an officer in the rank of lieutenant. The training period for this course is 49 weeks. The entire cost of training is borne by the government. This will not be allowed to marry during the training period and he will not be allowed o live with hi parents /guardians.
Successful candidates are entitled to get a stipend of Rs. 56100/ – during training period and on successful commissioning, the regular pay scale of commissioned officer will paid. along with other benefits as per entitlement from time to time.
