NDA Exam Eligibility: Things to Know Before Apply NDA Examination
NDA EXAM CRITERIA 2025
The National Defence Academy Examination is organized by UPSC twice a year. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria, which includes nationality, educational qualification, age limit, marital status and physical conditions. Strict age requirements have been set by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the NDA 2025 exam. Only unmarried male and female candidates between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5 are eligible to apply, following the eligibility conditions. This age restriction is a crucial component in establishing eligibility and is applicable to all groups, including OBC. In order to be eligible for the NDA selection procedure, candidates must make sure they fall inside this age range by the exam date. NDA EXAM ELIGIBILITY
Nationality: A applicant must be either a male or female who is single and either (i) an Indian citizen, (ii) a subject of Nepal, or (iii) an individual of Indian descent who has migrated to India with the goal of residing there permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African nations such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam. As long as an applicant falls into one of the aforementioned categories (ii) or (iii), the Government of India will have granted them a certificate of eligibility. Candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal, however, will not require a certificate of eligibility.Age Requirements, Gender, and Marital Status:
Only single male and female applicants born between January 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009, are eligible.
The date of birth that the Commission accepts is the one that appears on the Secondary School Examination or an equivalent examination certificate, the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate, a certificate recognised by an Indian university as equivalent to Matriculation, or an extract from a university Register of Matriculates that needs to be certified by the appropriate university authority. Only after the results of the written portion of the test have been announced may these certificates be submitted.
