1.Application & Notification
• The official notification is released by UPSC, typically in April.
• You use the UPSC website to submit an online application.
• Selecting your preferred forces (BSF, CRPF, etc.) is part of the application process.
2. Two sections of the written exam were administered on the same day:
Paper I: The first paper, General Ability & Intelligence, has 250 marks, an objective (MCQ), and topics including current events, general science, history, etiquette, geography, reasoning, etc.
Paper II: Essay, Comprehension, and General Studies
• Descriptive; • 200 marks; • English/Hindi essay; • English-only precision, understanding, and grammar
3. Only applicants who pass the written test are eligible to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Test.
