How To Calculate Marks From Our Capf 2025 Answer key?
The following easy methods will help you determine your scores using the CAPF 2025 Answer Key:
 1. Recognize the marking system
The marking scheme for the UPSC CAPF test is as follows:
General Ability and Intelligence, Paper 1:
Each right response is worth two points.
The incorrect response received a negative marking of -0.66.
 Questions left unanswered: zero points.
Paper 2 (General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension): 2.5 points for each right response
In Paper 2, negative marking is typically not used (however please check the official instructions).
 2. Get the Answer Key here.
First, as soon as the official answer key is available, get it from the UPSC website.
 3. Determine the Number of Right Responses
Examine the answers you marked in the answer key.
According to the exam’s marking structure, assign yourself the proper number of points for each right response.
4. Use negative marking for answers that are incorrect (Paper 1)
Your final score will be reduced by 0.66 points for each wrong response on Paper 1.
5. Determine Your Final Score
Total the points you received for your accurate responses on Papers 1 and 2.
Deduct any penalties (negative grades) for incorrect responses on Paper 1.
To estimate your score, use this sum.
Total Marks = (Number of Correct Answers × Marks per Correct Answer) – (Number of Incorrect Answers × Penalty per Incorrect Answer) is the formula.
An example of a calculation
Assume you answered 120 questions on Paper 1, 100 of which were right and 20 of which were incorrect:
Accurate responses: 100 × 2 = 200 points
Inaccurate responses: 20 × (-0.66) = -13.2 points
Thus, the score for Paper 1 is 200 – 13.2 = 186.8.
Next, use the relevant marks for each right response to determine the score for Paper 2 in a similar manner.
How to Challenge a CAPF 2025 Question?
1. Await the official solution key.
Following the announcement of the final results, UPSC will make the preliminary answer key available on their official website (upsc.gov.in). Candidates can then formally object after that.
2. Contrast with Reputable Sources
Prior to contesting, double-check the contested question using:
Standard books (such as Spectrum, Laxmikanth, and NCERTs)
Official government websites and resources suggested by the UPSC
3. Submit an RTI (Request for Information).
Given that UPSC does not offer a direct opportunity for objections:
Go to the RTI Web Portal.
“Union Public Service Commission” should be chosen as the public body.
The request should be specific, such “Please provide the justification for the answer to Question 45, Set B, CAPF (AC) 2025 Paper 1.”
Pay the little fee, which is often Rs. 10.
4. Have Proof Ready
To support your argument, include lucid and reliable evidence, such as links to official government documents or scans of textbooks.
5. Optional Legal Course
Candidates may petition the courts or the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) if there is a substantial disparity. Success rates are uncommon, though, unless a significant factual inaccuracy is discovered.
