ACC Exam Syllabus & Paper Pattern (2025 Updated)

The Army Cadet College (ACC) Entry exam is conducted by the Indian Army for serving personnel (jawans, NCOs, and other ranks) to become commissioned officers.

The written examination consists of four papers, each carrying 300 marks.

The total written marks = 1200, followed by SSB Interview (900 marks).

Paper I – General Mental Ability Test (GMAT)

  • Reasoning Ability: Analogy, classification, series, coding-decoding, syllogism, statement-conclusion, logical puzzles.
  • Numerical Ability: Simplification, percentages, ratio & proportion, average, time & work, interest, profit-loss, speed-distance, mensuration.
  • Data Interpretation: Tables, charts, graphs, caselets.
  • Decision Making & Logical Thinking: Situational questions, short problem-solving.

 

Paper II – Current & General Awareness Test (CGAT)

  • Current Affairs: National & international events, defence news, government schemes, important days.
  • Defence Awareness: Ranks, regiments, weapon systems, aircrafts, operations, exercises.
  • Indian Polity: Constitution, Parliament, President, PM, constitutional bodies.
  • Indian Geography: Physical, political, climatic, rivers, mountain ranges.
