NCA Academy is the brainchild of Late Lt Col H S Dhaliwal and sprouted in 1967. This premier Institute in a pioneer in extending quality coaching to the candidates on the turf of cracking the UPSC written exams cum SSB Interviews. The Academy possesses a strong foundation and through incessant moulding and path breaking efforts has relentlessly remained perched at the zenith displaying stellar results, ever since its inception.
The Institute stands tall in SCO 71, Sector 91, SAS Nagar( Mohali ), Punjab, which happens to be a satellite city of Chandigarh. It is adorned by a noted faculty who are not only affluent in their profession but also a phenomenal experience. SSB Coaching rests with exceptional instructors who are officers superannuated from the Defence Services.

The Courses offered at the Academy are:- * For Written Course. A zestful and elaborate teaching for the NDA, CDS, AFCAT, NA is offered to the candidates to iron out all doubts by reaching out to the grassroots levels in multiple subjects. The duration of the course varies from one month to six months, which will be inferred upon the candidate’s performance level at the threshold of joining the institute. * For SSB Course . An extensive 14 days training is being imparted to the candidates aspiring to take the SSB interview for the NDA, CDS, AFCAT, T.A., WSES, TES, TGC NCC,JAG ETC.

Lt Col H S Dhaliwal ( Late) was an illustrious, revered and ingenious leader who was the architect of NCA. His phenomenal imagination, diligent efforts and amazingly astounding instinct crafted , cemented and nurtured the institute from its foundation to a gorgeously gigantic Academy.
Being a thorough bred soldier he emboldened the institute with an ambience of ambition, discipline , grit and dexterity. The basic traits of a gentleman cum soldier were instilled in the candidates since he was at the helm of affairs. His amiable and down to earth demeanour enabled him to develop a strong rapport with the students. His teachings and vision are being embodied by each staff member as well as candidates even today.
Being a thorough bred soldier he emboldened the institute with an ambience of ambition, discipline , grit and dexterity. The basic traits of a gentleman cum soldier were instilled in the candidates since he was at the helm of affairs. After retirement from the Army, he was picked up as the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on infrastructure. He served two political governments in continuity for over 11 years, which speaks for itself.
He was conferred the ‘Golden Peacock Award’ on Ecological Innovation in 2007and the ‘Engineer of the Year Award’, by the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP), at Singapore in 2011; he was the first indian to be honoured with this Award. Widely travelled and a keen sportsman, who has excelled in Rowing, he has been Executive Vice President of both the Yachting Association of India and of the Rowing Federation of India. He is a qualified deep-sea diver and an avid environmentalist focusing on eco-friendly activities, renewable sources of energy, recycling and conservation of water resources. He is now settled in Chandigarh.

Col. Ballinger Singh is the most illustrious and dedicated officer who comes from a family who has a tradition to send their sons to armed forces and they served the country a the most prestigious positions. Col. Ballinger Singh is the son of Late Lt. Col. Hardit Singh Dhaliwal who too held so many important positions during his service. Col. Baljinder Singh joined Indian army through NDA and got the commission in Artillery as Gunner officer and later on during his career he held so many prestigious positions and served with complete dedication .Col. is a daring, cheerful, happy go lucky officer leaving a aura of perfection and competence.
Capt. N S Dhaliwal is a patriarch of the NCA who is the potent drive behind the soaring magnitude of the Academy. He has manoeuvred the Institute to the vertex for over four decades through relentless efforts. Farsightedness , scientific approach and magnanimity are deeply imbued in his humble persona.
His sharp vision, laser focused mindset and assiduous endeavours have transformed the personalities of mammoth numbers of raw candidates into polished, industrious and wondrously tailored individuals who have triumphed incredibly in their interviews.
